Kapunda: Soldiers World War One
'Machine Gun Corps at Kapunda' it is suggested by a researcher that the men are part of the 23rd Light Horse (as evidenced by the number badge on the hats). The photograph appears in The Chronicle (Adelaide, SA) under the banner 'Light Horsemen Under Training: The Camp at Kapunda' (1914, March 28) - SLSA [B 21690]
Spectators watching a parade of soldiers and a brass band in front of the Kapunda Primary School, South Australia; possibly an army recruitment campaign. SLSA: [PRG 280/1/14/147]
